剧情：
故事发生在源江边的小山村王家坳中，祖和（马崇乐 饰）的妻子秀娟（沈丹萍 饰）经营着一家小卖部，而祖和则带着妹妹霞妹（李赫玲 饰）干着摆渡人的活计，一家人生活的红红火火。这一天，秀娟发现钱匣子里的钱不翼而飞，而当天接触过钱匣子的，只有祖和的大哥祖生（谭天谦 饰）一人。 虽然祖和劝家里人不要多事，但霞妹还是去派出所报了案，导致祖生被抓了起来。之后，迫于压力，秀娟去派出所撤了案，虽然祖生马上就被放了出来，但祖生的老婆还是和秀娟之间结下了梁子，准备伺机报复。与此同时，寡妇邱大嫂亦嫉妒秀娟的小卖部生意好，开始造谣祖生和秀娟之间有一腿。
